Defend Democracy. Protect Wildlife. Demand Leadership.

A grizzly mother and her three babies look left with dramatic mountains behind them. Text on the image reads, "Defend democracy. Protect wildlife. Demand leadership."

Wildlife Needs Democracy. Democracy Needs Courage. Courage Requires Action.

Our rights—and wildlife’s survival—are under attack from a federal administration aimed at giving handouts to the uber-wealthy, including our national parks, public lands, and wildlife. It’s time to draw a line and act with courage to defend democracy and wildlife.

Right now, we’re watching democratic norms erode: commissions stacked with political insiders, wildlife policy made behind closed doors, and extremists using misinformation to undermine science and public input. It’s clear our fight isn’t just about wildlife anymore. It’s about whether our governments will serve all of us—or only the loudest, wealthiest interests.

We’re also watching direct attacks on wild lives and places. The Endangered Species Act is being gutted. Federal public lands are being transferred to states, private interests, and militarized zones under the Department of Defense.

We’re launching a national campaign to get state elected officials on the record: Will they defend democracy and protect wildlife—or enable its collapse?

What You Can Do:

  1. Push for a Position. Demand that your state leaders take a stand for democracy and ecosystem integrity. Send a message to your governor and state legislators asking them to hold the line—with courage.
  2. Track Responses. Use our quick form to share what you hear back. We’ll publish a public-facing tracker showing which leaders are defending democracy—and which are dodging accountability.
  3. Amplify. Help us expose vague and non-committal form letters and weak responses. We’ll use your reports to apply media pressure and demand real answers.

Decline of Hunting and FishingThis is our line in the sand. We believe in governance rooted in truth, science, and compassion—for humans and the more-than-human world. Let’s make sure our state elected officials do too, and that they’re willing to hold the line against harms.
